Hello, my name is Phallon and it's the the female version of Fallon. Fallon is mostly used for boys. People make fun of my name all the time.
First of all I am the 1st Fallon (1958) in the world and I am all male. My name was used by Aaron Spelling whom I knew. He found it intriguing. Fallon's meaning is "Grandson" of a rich king. My last name is O'Brien which means descendant of Brian. Brian Boru was the High King of Ireland. So my name translates to "Grandson of Brian Boru." So all you girls out there... you're using "My Name!"
My name is John Fallon A O'Leary jr. Who said they were the first Fallon in 1958 is WRONG. I was born in 59 and they called me Fallon, after my grandfather, my dad, named Jack, also has my name as did my grandfather's father and his father also, 7 generations of my name, I'm the last one with two sets of twin girls I missed the boy train unfortunately!

I think some are being harsh on this name. I am a female and my name is Fallon. I could be biased, but I could never see a male with my name. I think it's better for a girl. I often wish it was spelled differently like Fallyn, only because of always being called Fall-on. I think it's a great name, it's different. People love it or hate it, and I'm used to that, but I gotta say I felt a little offended by some of these comments! You want cookie-cutter? Then this isn't the name for your child.
According to babynames.com and nameberry.com Fallon is a unisex name.
I've met two female Fallons and one male Fallon. All are under the age of ten. I think it's starting to become a unisex name.
I've only heard of and seen females with this name, never males. I think it's cute for both, though.
I was surprised to see Fallon listed as masculine, I have only known or seen girls with this name.
