Following much investigation in to the name Findlay, in respect of trying to decide on a middle name for my unborn child, I keep coming to the same outcome: that Findlay means blonde haired warrior and is originally Celtic/Gaelic.

I know a girl called Findlay and I never expected it to be a boys name. But I still think it's a beautiful name.

The Findlays are a sept of the Scottish clan Farquarson.

I have also seen Findlay used on girls.
