This name is okay in my mind. I'd also like to say I know at least 3 people who's names are Freda, pronounced just like it's spelled, not freeda. Just letting you know!

My Nana's first name was Freda Lee. Her friends called her Fritz for fun. I don't like the name Freda alone but Freda Lee is a nice, warm, fun, old fashioned name. 8o)

Okay, so it's not that bad. I just think that Freya is a much softer and less harsh alternative. The "eeeed" sound is just really mean and harsh sounding.
