A well-known bearer of Galen is the character Doc Adams from the old TV western “Gunsmoke”. His office had a sign that said Dr G. Adams but the first name was undecided by the writers of the show, so the actor who portrayed him gave him the name Galen after the physician from Ancient Greece. So, it’s Dr Galen Adams.
