I suppose it could be an okay name, but I either think of stupid Glenn Beck or crazy Daddy Glen from Dorothy Allison's book "Bastard out of Carolina". Not very nice namesakes, to say the least...

I this name, as simple as it is, is actually pretty good. The only masculine names I hear these days are "John" "Michael" and "Robert" and names like that. You don't hear a name like "Glenn" everyday. I like it, and it has a nice ring to it. BUT ONLY ON A BOY! Because I've heard of parents naming their girls Glenn, and that sounds terrible on a girl.
Probably the most famous bearer of the name is television/radio host Glenn Beck, known best for is libertarian/conservative political views and wanting to restore honor, integrity, and God in America.
