Grey Henson is an American theatre actor best known for his role as Damian in Mean Girls the Musical.
Grey does not work at all as a first name. Please use Greyson.
I do not understand the appeal of this name. Grey/gray is an adjective meaning cloudy, dull, lifeless, unremarkable... What's so good about it? Also, a person named Grey with Grey hair would be teased relentlessly.
I go by Grey by choice and I am a female. Grey is actually the short English version for my Spanish name GRISelda, Gris translates to Gray, and I looove it so much I named my daughter Grey. I love the reaction I get when I tell people our name, I always get how unique and awesome it is. Some people think I'm saying Grace lol, Starbucks is the worse because I've gotten everything from Dre to Green no lie. Also when sending correspondence via text or email to someone I have yet to meet they expect to see some old guy with a full head of gray hair and we both usually get a chuckle out of it but I'm so used to it. Wouldn't change it for the world.
Nope. Grey should stay as a color, not a name. Plenty of colors like Violet or Ruby work perfectly well as names, but Grey isn't one of them. Greyson is so much better.
It’s a great unisex first name and middle name.
It is beautiful for a girl and handsome for a boy.
I like this as a middle name, my favourite combination is Erin Grey and Jane Grey.
Grey as a girl's name, Gray as a boy's.
It could work as a feminine middle name with the right first name, but otherwise, it sounds masculine. Much better than Gray and Grayson, however.
I used to think this was a boy's name but my cousin's middle name is Grey. Her name is Lydia Grey Daniels and I think Grey is very beautiful for a girl now. Although I would probably just use it for a middle name.
I think it's an amazing name.
My name is Grey, I have always been happy with my name. To me Grey has always seemed more feminine than masculine (but that is probably because I am a girl) I think it is a good Unisex name. Very beautiful in my opinion! (Although I’m a little biased :/ )
My name is Grei with an "i" not "y" and I'm a girl and I like my name and I don't think it's masculine, I think it's unisex.
Erin Grey Van Oosbree is a voice actress known for “The Loud House”.
Not a color I would name my child after.
Grey DeLisle is a stage name for Erin Grey Van Oosbree. Thought I'd mention it since she's been brought up several times on this page.
The name Grey was given to 317 boys born in the US in 2016.
Phoenix Grey is a nice unisex name.
I prefer this as a middle name. I think it's awful and "unfitting" as a first name. It's just more tolerable as a middle name or secondary middle name in my opinion. (:
This name is unisex, not masculine only.
Makes me think of 50 Shades Of Grey.
Ella Grey is what I named my daughter. Something very unique, elegant, and sophisticated about the name Grey. I loved that it added a different element to her name. Although I chose it for a middle name, I think that it would be a lovely name for any child, whether it be first or middle name. It's striking, different, and quite beautiful.
Totally boring. 'Hello, I'm Grey'. Could be an insult with older people as well.
Certainly a male name. It sounds absolutely goofy and hideous for a girl. Naming a girl Grey is like naming a boy Scarlett, it just doesn't work! I prefer it as a middle name for a boy.
I came across this name because of Grey Delisle, who voices Daphne on Scooby Doo.
I think it would be a pretty middle name for a GIRL. On a boy it looks stupid.
Grey, or Gray is not a color. It is a monochrome. Personally I think this makes a great first or middle name. Gray or Grey is far more masculine then feminine.
Call me strange, but Grey is my favorite color and as a name it just sounds so mysterious and pretty for a boy or girl!
I really like this, particularly as a middle name. I like how mysterious it sounds.
Actress Ellen Pompeo plays Dr. Meredith Grey on the show Grey's Anatomy.
I love this name for a boy or a girl. I was at a summer camp once where there were two Grey's, one a girl and one a boy. I don't see it as overly feminine or masculine.
Grey is the color of infinity, in my mind, so it is a good first name. And "grey" is much more genteel than "gray." Yeah.
It's too simple as a first name, but a great middle name for both genders, like a replacement for the overused Lee. There's also Grey Delisle, the very talented voice actress, and the beautiful track by Jack Off Jill, "Clear Hearts Grey Flowers".
I like this name a great deal, and it reminds me of Dorian Gray, even though it's a surname.
Grey is a boring colour, so it's not a very good name.
Lady Jane Grey was cousin to Edward VI.
I love this name - my brother's name is Grey, and it is extremely original and fits him perfectly. Most people called Grey have it as short for something, like Grayson, or Grady, but we have met one other person actually named Grey.
This name would make a creative, pretty middle name.
Because of the use of this name in the movie "Curly Sue" (a personal favorite of mine), I've always thought of this name as better for a girl!
This name can also be used for girls. Famous bearer is voice talent Grey Delisle does many voices: Lor on The Weekenders, Raven (I think) on Teen Titans, a voice for one of the girls on Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi, Vicky from The Fairly Odd Parents, and many more.
Grey Delisle is a famous voice actress, as the Anonymous user at the top of the page already said. She does the voices of Vicki on "The Fairly Oddparents," Frankie on "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends," Sam Manson on "Danny Phantom" Princess Azula on "Avatar" and many more. She was NOT Raven on "Teen Titans" (that was Tara Strong.)
