Its most common spelling during the early 1900s was as ハナ
It went up as high as #3 in 1912 but then fell out of the top 10.
In recent years it has become popular again as 花. It reached #6 in 2015 and #10 in 2016.
Hana was also the 3rd most popular name (by reading) in Japan in 2018.
