A famous bearer of the name Harvey was Harvey Milk, 1930-1978. Harvey Milk was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1977, and was one of the first openly gay public officials. He was assassinated by fellow supervisor Dan White on November 27th, 1978, along with Mayor George Moscone.

Harvey Mudd College is a very prestigious (but not well-known) private residential liberal arts college of science, engineering, and mathematics, located in Claremont, California. The college is named after Harvey Seeley Mudd, one of the initial investors in the Cyprus Mines Corporation.

I am sorry but when I hear this name I think the kid would have insecurities and be a brat, I get this impression from the old cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid called Codename: Kids Next Door.

But I can also think of it as a very daring man, the impression from the Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter that is one of the teachers first name.

There is more than one Harvey in the Batman universe.

Detective Harvey Bullock and District Attorney Harvey Dent who, as a previous poster wrote, becomes Two-Face.

Also the internet reviewer Lewis "Linkara" Lovhaug has a character called Harvey Finevoice.

Harvey Akio Itano was an American biochemist best known for his work on the molecular basis of sickle cell anemia and other diseases. In collaboration with Linus Pauling, Itano used electrophoresis to demonstrate the difference between normal hemoglobin and sickle cell hemoglobin; their 1949 paper "Sickle Cell Anemia, a Molecular Disease" was a landmark in both molecular medicine and protein electrophoresis.
