Hashim ibn Abd al-Manaf (Arabic: هاشم بن عبد مناف‎) (died ca. 497) was the great-grandfather of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and Ali ibn Abi Talib (the first Shia Imam & fourth Sunni Caliph).
