Comments for the name Heckie

Name of a very nice person in an excellent book by Eva Ibbotson.

I don't like this at all- not only does it have an unpleasant, ugly sound, it's very close to the word heck and ... something else.

I know that everyone will be moaning about the "heck" part, but I think Heckie is as cute as hell. I actually like it, but I know that myself nor anyone else would treat a guy called Heckie seriously. I think guy's names that end in -ie are adorable, like Scottie. There are much worse abominations out there: Nevaeh is a textbook example.
