I wonder if this could also be considered a Yiddish variant of Hannah (Hena is in the database as Yiddish).
In India, this is a given name for girls, referring to the dye used to make elaborate patterns on the backs of hands.
Henna is also a reddish pigment used to dye hair and in Indian and Arabic cultures, to create beautiful designs on the hands and feet.
