Heron (pronounced HEER-on I believe) was an ancient Greek geometer and inventor. He was also known as Hero. [noted -ed]

The SS Heron is a part of the Harry Potter fanverse. People who support the 'ship' (short for relationship) between main characters Hermione and Ron are said to "sail the SS Heron." The 'ship' got its name by combining the names Ron and Hermione.

It makes me think of heroin. Awful name that hopefully never makes find its way onto the charts.
