In Korean, this character (Hye) is used in female names.

This is also a word used to describe a Chinese Muslim. I wouldn't use it as a name.

Bananarama is mistaken. Tone is very important to meaning in Mandarin. The term for Chinese Muslims is Huízú in Pinyin. This name, meanwhile is transliterated as Huì. Notice the accent marks above the i's. A word can have a drastically different meaning from another depending on its tone in Mandarin.
