This may be an unpopular opinion, but I believe this name can be both masculine and feminine, I adore the story which actually can vary between Apollo accidentally harming hyacinth and another jealous god also accidentally killing Hyacinth, the latter being my favorite. The story is so short and unfortunate, but lovely and has much to say about an almighty god, with a relationship with a mortal human, in a way true love. Which means much when it comes to Greek gods (Zeus comes to mind). Apollo tried himself to become mortal to die with Hyacinthus and made flowers from his blood, this story will forever make me cry.
Hi - ah - sin - thus?
Very handsome.
Hyacinthus was one of Apollo's lovers in Greek mythology. Also, if you think this name is "too feminine", know that it was originally used by a man.
Too feminine.. not very manlike..
In Greek mythology, Hyacinthus was Apollo's lover. In some versions, the wind god Zephyr was in love with Hyacinthus as well, and killed him by accident in an attempt to get back at Apollo.
