Jarlath (Irish: Iarfhlaith, pronounced Ear-lie) akin to the Anglo-Saxon word Jarl or Carl meaning a knight.

I know quite a few Iarlaith and they all spell it Iarlaith and pronounce it Ear-la. I like Iarlaith because it is a very Irish name and I love Irish names but I don't like Jarlath.

I think Iarfhlaith sounds too much like Órfhlaith (Orla) and thus feminine. I love Jarlath though.

My son is called Iárfhlaíth I love it! Pronounced Ear-la, so unusual.
