Ibrahim or Ebrahim is the Arabic version of Hebrew "Abraham", meaning "Father of Ham". "Ham" means nation, but also "Ishmail" son of Abraham is also referred as Ham and all Arabs are considered children of Ham.

Personal name of Abū Ishāq Ibrāhīm ibn Yahyā al-Naqqāsh al-Zarqālī, latinate form Arzachel or Arsechieles.
