My Arabic tutors (Kuwait natives) laughed when I told them I chose this name for myself in Arabic class. I'm a woman, and they said that Ikram is very much a male name.

Well, this is a short version of my full first name. I have to say I do love it. I have found other Ikram's also, - most are from North and East Africa. I guess at time it can be seen as masculine but I think it fits me as a great pet name. :)
