Comments for ILDEFONSO:
One of my professors in Spain was named Ildelfonso. He was from Cordoba. There is a street or a plaza (I don't remember which) in the old quarter of Jerez (Andalucia, Spain) named Ildelfonso. This name looks and sounds as Visigothic as it can get--in Spain this seems out-dated like Bernard or Ethel. People with the right personality can pull it off, I guess.-- Anonymous User 9/9/2007
In my family this name only passes from grandfather to grandson. In Portugal it isn't a common masculine name.-- soraya 9/8/2008
Ildefonso Falcones is a Spanish author who wrote 'Cathedral of the Sea' and 'The Hand of Fatima'.-- Anonymous User 3/11/2012
