My Name Is "Jo-ann", I really don't like my name for it is too short but since my parents chose this name (especially its spelling) I was used to this, and love my name as spelled as unique since my parents gave me this name. It's unique in spelling because I have never known another to have the same spelling as mine. So, for me, I like this name as it's spelled.
I don't like this name at all.
It's too short, it sounds like a name for boys and it's too plain and boring.
I prefer Johanna or Joanna. Even Joanne is better.
This name is kind of ugly. Joanne is a pretty name, Joanna is even prettier, but Joann (especially when spelled JoAnn or Jo Ann) gives me a tacky vibe. Plus, it reminds me of the craft store, which generally has low quality products and poor customer service. Just add the "e", people, and this name gets ten times classier.
My grandmother's name was JoAnn. It was pronounced JO ANN. I highly recommend this name.
JoAnn could also be a combination of Jo and Ann.
I have a friend who spells her name Joann but pronounces it like Joanne.
This is usually spelled Joanne, I guess, but I know someone who spells it JoAnn. It's kind of ordinary and middle-aged sounding to me. I don't have a bad impression of it, necessarily.
