Joaquin pronounced wa-kquin means god will establish. It is a family name passed on about 9 generations, from what I can verify. I was told it was derived from the Ladino or Iberic culture. The name is a run off of what God would establish: Jachin pronounced wa-kquin, one of the two pillars entering the temple Solomon built. Have you guys herd of the Ladino culture before Spain in Iberia?
