Josip Belušić (1847-1905) was a Croatian inventor and professor of physics and mathematics. In 1887 Belušić publicly experimented for the first time with his new invention, an electric speedometer. The invention was patented in Austria-Hungary under the name of "Velocimeter".
Josip Broz Tito was the leader of the Yugoslav Partisans during World War 2 and the president of Yugoslavia from 1953 to 1980.
