This is the name of my brother-in-law's mother. I like it a lot, better than Julia which is actually her real name but everyone calls her Julie so her name has changed now.
Julie Edward (Miyax Kapugen is her Inuit name) is the main character of the books Julie of the Wolves, Julie, and Julie's Wolf Pack, all by Jean Craighead George.
Although I like it spelled Juli better, I really like this name. It isn't overused, like "Kate" or "Lauren", but it isn't really strange. I have a friend named Juli, and she loves her name.
My real name is JULIANNE, but I like JULI; spelled J-U-L-I. It's more unique than Juli'e'. I've never met anyone else with the spelling that way, but it's not weird, either.

I think Julie is a very pretty name, not sure if I would ever name my kid this but I do like it. There's a book series Julie of the Wolves, Julie, and Julie's Wolfpack that I recommend to everyone as a great book series.
My name is Jewell, but I go by Julie. I think Julie is a very mature and beautiful name. I feel the same way about Jewell. I am very proud to be named Jewell/Julie!
A famous bearer is American actress Julie Harris (born December 2, 1925). She's won 5 Tony Awards for her roles in the plays "I Am A Camera" (1952), "The Lark" (1956), "Forty Carats" (1969), "The Last of Mrs. Lincoln" (1973), and "The Belle of Amherst" (1977). She also received an Academy Award nomination for her role in the film "The Member of the Wedding" (1952).
I love Julie. It's one of my favourite names. I can't stand Julia on the other hand. I hate the a-sound at the back of the name. In Dutch it sounds very hard, while Julie sounds tender.
Hi, I'm Julie too. Love the name, sounds romatic to me. I never really asked my mom why she gave me the name though, maybe I should. Growing up only a very few had this name. I grew up in the 70's and 80's. When I got married, my husbands mother's name is Judy, but her dad called her Julie, and her daughter- my sister in law is named Julia Dawn, but choose Dawn to go by. We all live next to each other now and our mail is forever getting mixed up. HA HA.
Julie Hearn is an English author. She has written books such as "Ivy" and "Hazel".

My mom's name is Julie. I always liked it, but my mom thinks her name is kinda boring because she says every fourth girl at her school was named Julie. I think it's pretty, though.
In English, Julie is sometimes used as a pet name for Julian, Julius, and other similar men's names. I suppose it could also be used in a teasing context, considering Julie is better-known as a girl's name.
My name is Julie and I am French. I think the name sounds much prettier pronounced the French way which is much softer sounding than the English pronunciation.
