Kaede

I always pronounce it ky-aye-day, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm pronouncing it wrong.

It’s kah-eh-dè.

Im 14 and I'm fed up- it’s kah-eh-de (or kah-èd-dè) not Cade, Katy, Kayday, Kay-dee, Kaid, Kaidee, etc. Whenever a teacher pronounces it wrong I tell them that it’s fine how they pronounced it but there’s always one person that shouts “just tell him/her how to pronounce it, it’s not that hard, it’s your name” and that persons name is Adriana or Maya or Victoria. You don’t know what it’s like having to correct your name every time you meet someone new. The Adriana’s and the Maya’s and the Victoria’s themselves usually don’t pronounce it right either. When I do correct it they say “what?” “can you repeat that” over and over again, I once told my math teacher my name 5 times and she still didn’t say it right so I just left. It’s annoying. Search it up if you have to. Kah-eh-de. Kah like caca, ed like s6x ed, de like dè.

Japanese does not have any diphthongs, so getting a sound such say "kay" in the "kae-" part is impossible.
Kaede- kah (ah as in father), eh (eh as in get. Say "kah" and "eh" together.) and deh (as in DEfinite.)

Amending my previous comment: Japanese does have dipthongs, but just not the same ones English does (I.E. ai=ey).

I pronounce it "Kaie-de".

Can someone plz help me with the pronunciation of Kaede.

I met a girl in summer school whose name was Kaede and had just come from Japan and she pronounced it (KAY-DEE) like Katy. So for the entire 2 weeks I thought her name was Katy.

Pronounced kah-eh-deh.

I believe this is pronounced "kai-EI-dei".
