Say it like "KAH leh". In the Hawaiian language you pronounce all the vowels, therefore no one will associate Kale with the leafy green vegetable, which actually isn't so bad because it's tasty. And Carrot Top is a comedian, though it's not his given name. Kale pronounced without saying the end vowel could be a pet name for Michael.
I found that Kale is the northern English form of Cole. I find the name quite interesting in it's form, and the ways it is portrayed by other people, like it being seen as a vegetable, which Kale is a vegetable, but still.
I had a son last October and named him Kale. Wouldn't change it for the world. Lively unusual name, I have heard one other Kale were I live.

'Kale' is also a Romani work for "black." Some groups of the Romani people use it as a self-designation: Finnish Kale, the Romani people from Finland; and Kale (Welsh Romanies), the Romani people from Wales.
Kale or Cale (from Greek Καλη, meaning "Beauty") aka Kalleis or Calleis (from Greek: Καλλεις) aka Charis aka Aglaea is a daughter of Zeus and one of the Charites (Graces) in ancient Greek religion. She is usually the eldest of the three Charites and is sometimes the spouse of Hephaestus. Teiresias declared her more beautiful than even Aphrodite, and as a reward Kale gave him a beautiful head of hair.Kale, aka Jupiter XXXVII and originally designated as S/2001 J 8, a retrograde irregular satellite and first discovered in 2001, was named for the goddess in August 2003. It is part of the Carme group.
