In Icelandic Keila means cone. There is a volcanic mountain on the Reykjanes peninsula with the masculine version, which is Keilir.
In the Bible, a descendant of Caleb (1 Chronicles 4:19), also the name of cities mentioned in the Old Testament.
It's pretty much a Polynesian name. It's my sisters name, and we all have Polynesian names.
Means "Citadel" which is a biblical place name: a town in the kingdom of Judah.
