I think this name would get mistaken for Kinsley a lot.
This certainly isn’t the worst, I get the appeal.

I know quite a few people named Kinley. Mainly 16 and under. I don't know how I feel about this name. I have both nice and mean things to say. It isn't the worst name.
Seeing as though I personally know someone who is only 3 years younger than me who bears this name, I don't have a problem picturing it on an adult. There are certainly more childish names out there.
Not a fan. Way too cutsey/trendy as well.
Strongly dislike!
Makes me sad for the future of the world that this is considered cute or quirky...
I don't like this name. I think it would be awful for a girl, especially a boy.
This name sounds wimpy and childish. I especially dislike it on a girl.
My name is Kinley. I'd say it's pretty rare, I've never met another Kinley but I have met Kinsley's.
I have never met another Kinley in person. I've had one couple name their first after my name. But I love being the only one in Fresno CA. Hi to all other Kinleys around the globe.
I love how people think this is a “new, made up name”. I’m 26, almost 27 and I’ve been Kinley since day one! I wouldn’t have it any other way, I am proud of my name. My parents named me after McKinley Morganfeild a.k.a. the famous blues musician Muddy Waters. And I’ve only ever met one other, a boy named McKinley for the same reason as me! There is also William McKinley who was the 25th president of the United States.
This is a girl's name?
It's for both sexes.
Yes, I'm childish, yes, I'm weird, and yes, I'm unique. So is everyone. I like my name. You should to! Really, I can agree a little on people who think this name is weird and tacky. Do I care? No. I'm mad at them, but I like my name. So that's MA NAME FELLAS.
My name is Kinley and I love my name. And also you can tell from my username, I like kangaroos.
Son of names are perfectly fine for girls, it doesn’t matter. Sure it was recently made up, but everyone knows it is for younger people. And that’s perfectly fine. It makes you sound like you still have a childish mind that has a lot of imagination, along with being cute and original at times, as long as you avoid the recent spike in the name.
WOW. PEOPLE REALLY HATE THIS NAME I GUESS. My eight year old little sister is named Kinley, and I showed her this not knowing that this would contain horrible haters, but NO. People, they think it is tacky and recently made up, but no, it actually isn’t. My name Kennedy is wayyyy worse than Kinley, but still, so many people are hating on this name! This name is one of my favorite names, and although I think it is a little bit for a younger person, I think that it is an innocent name, very feminine and cute!
This name is cute. For either gender. Any age.
I've heard this on a couple girls.. It's okay.
Cute on a boy, sickening and atrocious on a girl.
I love this for a boy's name! Would be okay for a girl, but I just love it as a boy's.
I'm surprised this has no comments. People usually love to rant on how much they hate the 'son of' names on girls. Can't say I blame them. 'Kinley' is recently made up, tacky, and extremely childish. It sounds like a five year old made it up. Not to mention its meaning: 'son of finlay'. Wow, how cute! It sickens me how popular this 'name' has become in just six years. I seriously don't get how people can prefer names like this to beautiful, well-established classics. I mean really- imagine a 'president Kinley Johnson'. Dear god. I can't imagine this name on anyone over the age of five.
