Perhaps Kresimir is the Croatian form of Krasimir? The only difference between them is one letter! And Croatian and Bulgarian have the same root language, don't they?

It is a masculine Croatian name. The meaning of the name is "cross and peace": kres=cross, i=and, mir=peace. It was the name of one of the kings in Croatia.

In modern Croatian KRSITI means TO BRAKE. MIR means PEACE. Therefore, it could be said that the name means "to brake peace". However, the name is ancient and the original meaning might have been different.

I also agree with Melesse that the first element means "sparkle, set alight; rouse, awaken" from "kresi", the imperative of "kresiti". While commonly thought to mean "breaker of peace" (by association with the similar "kršiti") its actual meaning would be "maker of peace".
