Lalia Clayhanger Took was a hobbit mentioned in one of Tolkien's letters. She was the wife of Bilbo's cousin Fortinbras Took II. According to Tolkien, she lived to a great age and was very obese (to the point where she was confined to a wheelchair). Her name does not appear on the Took family tree that appears in the book's appendices.
