Lincoln

The name Lincoln was unfortunately given to 157 girls born in the US in 2015.

My son is called Lincoln. I am from the UK. His name means by the lake and ironically, I didn't manage to push him out in the birthing pool - therefore he was born 'by the pool'. I didn't know the meaning until afterwards but it made sense. I often call him Linc or Linco. I feel it's a very strong name. I hear it a lot more now - films, tv etc. I'm not sure about the name for a girl but it cannot be any worse than some of the more 'common' names cropping up out there.
