I dislike this name. It’s very trendy, childish, and it reminds me of mazes. I prefer Macey which is pronounced “may-see” instead of “may-zee”.
I really like this because it’s so feminine and girly. I like the combo Maisie Lynn for a girl.
I like this name, I used it for a story character of mine who is a little rough around the edges. I think that the softness of the name Maisie balanced her character well. I think it's a sweet name, and contrary to popular opinion, that it ages well. It's also unique enough (at least in the US) without being unpronounceable.
Very dated and boring!
Strongly dislike!
Maisie to me is a sweet, artistic girl who is helping others so much she has no time for herself. I love the name Maisie to DEATH and if I ever had twin girls I would name them Maisy/Maisie Kate and Hazel Grace!
Maisie Peters is a somewhat famous singer, and a favorite of mine. She recently had a song 'Smile' in Birds of Prey, the Harley Quinn movie.
I love this name as well for its femininity. My recently adopted Bernese Mountain AKC puppy I acquired this past summer came with the name her family had given her of Macy. I quickly revised it to Maisie as it fit my perception of her better. Plus, I pronounce it May-zee instead of May-cee. Once I learned the origin/s of the name (Greek/Hebrew and Irish all with the same meaning of pearl; add the Irish variant is a diminutive of Margaret which I'm fine without,) Maisie suits my Bernese perfectly. She is a perfect pearl ie, gem for a female dog. :) Note: Meg Ryan named her only daughter Daisy.
I love this name! Definitely prefer Maisie to Maisy. Maisie Florence is a personal favorite combination of mine. Would definitely use it, whether it be for a child or a book character!
I was delighted when my my son and wife chose Maisie as their daughter's name. I had a cousin named Macy and everyone loved her name, including myself. She was older and I adored her. My granddaughter Maisie, is loved by everyone. She made her name very popular, and it was so cool to hear her name called out in her sports events. “On deck, Maisie Mcquaid.” “Basket scored by Maisie Mcquaid!" She’s 25 now and we have seen that name become very popular, especially in the area where she grew up.
My name is Maisie and I think that it is quite popular. At my school, I had a friend with exactly the same name as me. The only way you could tell us apart was spelling. Her name was spelt Maisy. On the negative side, sometimes I get teased for the name. I've dealt with it though since everybody has bullied me the whole of my life.
Maisie is a very British name! But I like it!
Sweet name. I personally think it would age well.
It is a bit childish, but I think it's cute (then again, I'm from the US, so it's not used much) Maisy is cool too.
Maesi Caes is a dancer known for starring on “Dance Moms” with her Mom, Jamie.
This is my name and I’m confused why people hate it so much.
I think this name was popular around 1900. It makes me think of a milk maid or char woman or laundry maid. I just don't think it does a woman justice... having said that it is a cutie pie name for a baby girl/toddler but I would come up with something else that ages better.
Sorry, but all I can think is that idiot Maisie Williams.
Maisie is one of the best names in the entire universe! I don't know why so many of these comments are negative! I also have a best friend called Maisie. Her middle name is Florence. I think Maisie Florence sounds especially lovely. I might name my daughter Maisie, if I have one, but it would probably be a middle name.
I think this name is gorgeous. It is really sweet.

Annoying, chavvy name that I've mostly seen used by teen parents from the UK.
My daughter, born in 2013 is named Maisy. To all who think of dainty, sweet, and lovely little girls, you would think differently if you knew my girl! She is smart, cute, charming and has a temper like a bull.
If I had a cow, I would call it Maisie. This always seems to be what cows are called. For a girl, it just seems too weak and soppy.
The name Maisie is so pretty, sweet and cute! I love this name! 10/10. ^^
My names Ottilie-Maisie, but I often get called Maisie. Whilst it is a nice name I think it's beginning to get over used, and it's not just the pronunciation but the spelling as well.

Despite its trendiness in the UK, the name Maisie is very uncommon in the US. It was only given to 147 baby girls here in 2012. I think it's an adorable nickname, but a little too cutesy to be a full name.
More of a nickname, although I'm not sure what names it could be for (Margaret? Madeleine?) but it really shouldn't be used as a full name in my opinion. Also, its practically unheard of in the US but to my surprise extremely popular in the UK, much like Alfie or poppy.
This is the name of a young character in the book What Maisie Knew by Henry James.
Maisie Williams plays Arya Stark in the TV adaption, Game of Thrones, of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.
This name is very, very sweet for a little girl. Perhaps a bit infantile for a middle-aged woman, but you can work around that (calling the daughter Mairead or Margaret or Mary, or anything like that, and leave Maisie as a nickname).
I like this name, it's sweet. Perhaps a little too sweet - I can't imagine it on anyone other than a small girl with ringlets or an elderly lady.

I wish more people would use Maisie/Maisy on girls and leave the masculine name Mason to the boys. ;)
Could also be amended to Maysie or Maisy.
I think this is an utterly cute name!
I love this name. I think it's really sweet and pretty. I realise that some people think it's a bit twee, but I don't care, I like the fact it's slightly sentimental. I also like the fact that it's unusual because while I like my own name (Amy) I hate it that there's so much of us. It's cool to have an individual name, and when it's also an extremely lovely one like Maisie, then that's even better. If I ever have a daughter, I'm going to call her Maisie Faye (Faye being her middle name).
