Meggy is the name of a popular character in the popular animated webshow "SMG4", which parodies many video games (mostly Super Mario 64) using Super Mario characters alongside original characters. In the show, Meggy is a tomboy with bright orange hair and a red beanie who hates anime and loves action. She is the star of the SMG4 movie "Meggy's Destiny", where she achieves her dream of winning the Splatfest.

I love the name Meggy, but not with an ie instead of a y. Then it looks childish. It was very popular in the early 1900s [I have used it on story characters before]...;)
