I just wanted to add that Metra was the mother of Mithra. She was believed to be the Sun Goddess, from the Dream Time, or as Aboridgine's call it, Pipe Dream time. There is very little info on Metra, yet, even today, at the Persian "NOWRUZE" (new years celebrating the beginning of Spring), the custom is to lay a table with "Haf Seen", 7 items representing Green and life, and in the middle of this table, they put a bowl of water, and will put inside that bowl, several goldfish and an orange, to represent the Ancient Goddess Mother of the Sun. There are so many traditions like these that have become routine, but without the full understanding of where it came from, other than saying it is the 'tradition".
