The name Naoise has two meanings. The first is of the Irish warrior. The second is that Naoise is the female version of Noah from Noah’s Ark.
Well you wouldn't name your daughter Hercules now would you?
My name is Naoise. I am a GIRL!
I think this name written can be any gender but the pronunciation of the name Neesha is the feminine form of the name and Naysha is the masculine form. I am sure of this because my name is Naoise and I am a guy.
I only know girls by the name of Naoise. Please add that it is also a girl's name.
DEFINITELY a male name. And only given to girls by people who do not fully know or understand the name. Would be like calling a girl John.
As feminine as it sounds, it is definitely a masculine name, as Naoise (as is said) was the lover of Deirdre. If I remember rightly he was described as having long raven black hair, snow-white skin and blood-red cheeks (a desirable appearance apparently).
This is used as a form of Noah, so I'd say yes, it's masculine.
Only ever seen this used as a little girl's name.
