Nelle Richmond Eberhart (1871 – 1944) was an American librettist, poet, and teacher. She is known for her long collaboration with composer Charles Wakefield Cadman. She wrote 200 songs and the librettos for five operas for which he composed the music.
Nelle "Nel" Isabel Law (1914–1990) was an Australian artist, poet and diarist. As the wife of the scientist and explorer Phillip Law, she was the first Australian woman to set foot in Antarctica when she travelled with her husband to the Mawson Station in 1960–61.
Nelle Harper Lee was the author Harper Lee's given name. She's best known for her one novel, To Kill a Mockingbird.
