Means "no go" in Spanish.
In astronomy, Nova is a star that suddenly releases a huge burst of energy, temporarily becoming extraordinarily bright, and then slowly returning to its original state over a few months.
Nova means "chases butterflies" it originates from the Native American tribe.
I really don't think it's anything to do with any Spanish place. And it's not Portuguese it's Hebrew.
