Shows up in Harry Potter as Olympe Maxime, headmistress of the French wizard school Beauxbatons.
Olympe de Gouge, a French revolutionarie, wrote a declaration of the rights of women in 1791, and was executed by the guillotine.

Pronounced OH-lemp.

To me, and to most English speakers (presumably), this name, its spelling and pronunciation appear perpetually strange, although I quite like its odd, strange, foreign look. :)
