It looks like the feminine form of Otto to me. It's a nice name, very old fashioned though.

Lady Ottoline Morrell was a well-known socialite in the early 1900s. She was romantically involved with Bertrand Russell and a close friend of Virginia Woolf. Her daughter's name was Julian.

I first came across this name when I saw a children's book called "Ottoline and the Yellow Cat". I'd never heard of the name before, and it stood out to me. I think it sounds beautiful and unique. I pronounce it aw-to-LEEN.

Ottoline is a lovely nickname for Ottilie, which looks softer.
