Comments for the name Pallas

Pallas is also masculine. It is the name of one of the Titans of mythology, husband of Styx and father of Nike. [noted -ed]

Another famous masculine Pallas is Evander's son in the epic the Aeneid. He joins Aeneas in the fight against the Latins but is eventually killed.

On Sailor Moon, PallaPalla from the Amazon Quartet's name is derived from this one!

I like it. I would never name a child this, although I would think it was great if I met someone else who did or was planning to.

Pallas features in Edgar Allan Poe's famous poem "The Raven." The last lines have been going over in my head all day, which is why I looked up the name (I probably have the particularly punctuation Poe used right here):

"And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the palid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon that is dreaming
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the the floor

I think Pallas is an absolutely timeless, beautiful name, though I see it more as a feminine name than masculine. Pallas Athena is a beautiful name.

Pallas was also a brother to Aegeus, king of Athens. He was planning on stealing the throne.

I adore the name Pallas. It's a unique alternative to Dallas.

It's not too bad. I'd name someone/thing after Pallas's cat.
