Parthenia is such a beautiful ethereal name it sounds as if it’s the name of an empress dressed in Grecian robes replete with diadem.

In contrast to bananarama, I happen to love Parthenope, and find Parthenia slightly weak by comparison. Still a pretty name, though.
This name is quite lovely, and it certainly beats the ugly Parthenope, but it also sounds kind of pretentious.
Parthenia appeared in the US Top 1000 for females in the 1890s, but hasn't reappeared since.
