Patrice Martinez (1963 – 2018) was an American actress. She received her theatrical education in London, played the role of Carmen in the film Three Amigos, and starred in the early 1990s television series Zorro.
Patrice Holloway (1951 – 2006) was an American soul and pop singer, and songwriter.Holloway is most noted for her work as the singing voice of Valerie in Hanna-Barbera's 1970 Josie and the Pussycats television series and on the concurrent Josie and the Pussycats album. Valerie was the first female African-American cartoon character to star as a television series regular (and the first of any gender also voiced by Black artists, Barbara Pariot being her speaking voice), and was nearly cut from the show by nervous executives. Record producer Danny Janssen demanded that Holloway—and therefore Valerie—remain in the show, as he felt her voice was necessary to produce the Jackson 5-esque bubblegum pop that H-B had requested he produce. It is Patrice's voice that does lead on the series' theme song, "Josie and The Pussycats", amongst many other songs.

Don't like it that much.
This is a French male name- but it is so much prettier than Patricia. Anyway, different names have different meanings in different languages. Ruth, for example, is listed on here as a male name in Limburgish. I just really like this on a girl. It works as a male name too, but it sounds more feminine than masculine. Yes, I know that it is a French male name, though.
Surprise! My name is Patrice. I'm female and I like my name very much. It's not a common name, therefore I don't have 20 people in close proximity walking around with my name. And when I happen to come in contact with another Patrice, there's a sense of camaraderie between us. Making its definition "noblewoman" that more real.
The name Patrice was given to 22 girls born in the US in 2015.
Just to clarify, my name is Patrice and I'm a girl. My parents are actually quite wonderful and most certainly know better. My mam's name is Patricia and I am named after her. Patrice is a boys name in France and considered a girl's name everywhere else. Every Patrice I have met in Ireland is female. This name means noble and I love it. Haters gonna hate :)
I would NEVER use Patrice for a girl, no way! Unless... she were never to leave the US where, for some odd reason, it became a unisex name (apparently, some folks are already trying to give the male name Stephane the same fate, yikes!). Internationally, esp. In the French speaking world, francophone and francophile eyebrows raise when they meet a female Patrice. Not pretty, when I hear Patrice I always think of a man, and when I meet a Patrice (it happened only 1 time, thank goodness) I always think her parents did not know any better when naming her.
A famous soul artist has this name. Patrice Rushen. She has a great voice! And her bass player is awesome!
