Ptah, the local god of the Ancient Egyptian capital Memphis, was a god of creation. Conversely, his wife, Sekhmet was a goddess of destruction.

This name is used, although very rarely, in the English-speaking world.

Technically, Ptah would be pronounced with a silent P, making it sound like "tah." I've also heard it pronounced "tar," though very rarely.
