Interesting that the pronunciation listed here is "RAM-ə-seez." I've only ever heard it pronounced like RAM-seez, but perhaps that's uncommon. [noted -ed]

The real pronunciation is *Riʕmīsisu, or raugh mee see soo, the double o like in book. That is just the Egyptian pronunciation. In English it is RAMMA-seez.
