My parents said Rashid means smart. Well I guess that is right... I don't mean "oh yes of course I'm smart", but the fact is I'm smart not genius.

The Arabic spelling has to be corrected. The posted spelling is that of Rasheed which is another entry. Rashid or Rashed means 1.the adult, 2.the wise one or 3.the one who knows the correct path. It is also used as the Arabic equivalent for "guide".
