Comments for REILLY:
O'Reily is a popular last name in Ireland.-- MirandaIrie 11/24/2010
After the Reilly clan consolidated its hold on County Cavan, they minted their own money, accepted as legal tender even in England. These coins, called “O'Reillys” and “Reilly's, ” became synonymous with a monied person, and a gentleman freely spending was “living on his Reillys.”
Hence the saying: "To live the life of Reilly or the life of O'Reilly".-- keepitreal 1/24/2011
"Reilly, Ace of Spies" is a 1983 British television miniseries dramatising the life of Sidney Reilly, a Russian Jew who became one of the greatest spies to ever work for the British. Among his exploits in the early 20th century were the infiltration of the German General Staff in 1917 and a near-overthrow of the Bolsheviks in 1918. His reputation with women was as legendary as his genius for espionage.-- keepitreal 1/24/2011
I LOVE this name, especially for a girl. It is so fresh and interesting, a much better version of "Riley"... the only downside is no one will know how to spell your name, but I think it has a beautiful, unique quality. I would way rather be named Reilly then something overused and boring such as Emma or Natalie.-- Anonymous User 10/23/2011
