In Spanish this name would roughly be said reh-MEE-hee-oh. It is a very handsome name. I've always found the name Remy/Rémy to be insubstantial and sound more like a nickname than a full given name even though I think it's a very nice name. Remigio solves this problem nicely. It gives Remy as a nickname, but is a more substantial and formal sounding name to fall back on.
"Remigio"'s Italian pronunciation:Reyh-MEE-GyohRoll your "R." Stress "I" in "Mi" to "EE." "Gio" equals "Gee-Oh," but through speaking it is slightly altered to a short "Gyoh." [noted -ed]
