Medieval Dutch form of Reier, which is nowadays a bit more common than Reier itself, but not as common as the modern (variant) spelling Reijer, which is the most prevalent out of the three of them.Known bearers of this name include the Dutch Golden Age painter Reyer van Blommendael (1628-1675) and the Dutch poet and playwright Reyer Anslo (1622-1669).
