I think that the name Rivka is a lovely name. I am called Rebecca and when I heard that Rivka was another version of it I decided to call my first girl child it.

There is an awesome book entitled "Letters From Rivka".
An alternative spelling of the name Rivka is "Rivkah" as it is with many names and words transliterated from Hebrew in to English if the word ends in ה it is usually spelled with an "h" which is either silent or barely audible.
I believe a nice variant of this name would be Rivqah, which was the name of a character in a book I've been reading. In the book Rivqah is the mother of Axis. The book is called The Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass. It's a great read!
My name is Rivkah with an h and it is pronounced riv-ka NOT reev-ka. This name is awesome, I love my name! It is fun having a name nobody else has.

In The Devil's Arithmetic (a story about Jews in a concentration camp during the Holocaust), there's a character named Rivka. She teaches Chaya, the story's protagonist, how to survive in a concentration camp. At the very end of the story, it is revealed that she is Hannah's Aunt Eva.
I wish I could name my kid Rivka, but then again, I'm not Jewish, so that would be a bit strange. A beautiful name. Main character in the novel "Letters from Rifka" (I highly recommend it).
