I have this name. People I know tell me it's the name of an old man, but when I think of the other 'Roger' I think of 101 Dalmatians movie. Overall I like my version: "Rodger" I think that it looks better when people spell it with the 'd' than without, it makes it look more fancy and full, meanwhile the name 'Roger' looks a little stubby.
I like this name and this form of spelling. It is a simple but strong name.
Rodger Meddows Taylor is a British musician well-known for his work as Queen's drummer, writing songs like "Radio Ga-Ga" "The Invisible Man" and "I'm in love with my Car". He also has a solo career and has collaborated with other artists, such as Elton John and Mel Smith, among many others.
This name looks stupid to me when spelled with that pointless silent "d." Roger is better, but it's still a goofy name. I would never give a person this name, but it could be okay for a mellow dog like a Bassett Hound.
Rodger Chillingworth is the old, crippled, manipulative, and evil husband of Hester Prynne in The Scarlet Letter. However, I believe that the name is an alias to cover up his association with Hester, his wife who committed adultery.
Rodger Bumpass is a voice actor. He is best known for voicing Squidward on the cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants.
This name is also used in The Netherlands, where it is more common than Rudger (which has less than 100 bearers) but less common than Rutger (which has several thousands of bearers).
I actually prefer this spelling of the name to Roger for some reason. I'll never be able to say exactly why, though.
