Rosalba Carriera was an Italian Rococo era painter and lived 1675-1757. She was the sister-in-law of artist Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini, who specialized in painting history. [noted -ed]

I suppose it depends on how you define "recent", but since this name was borne by the painter Rosalba Carriera (1675 - 1757), I'd say it's a long established name. [noted -ed]

My name is Rosalba Kathleen!
It means 'White rose' and Kathleen means 'pure' so Rosalba means 'Pure white rose'. I love my unique name. My mother's name is Anna Doris. She gave me this name to make up for how common hers is.
A completely gorgeous name.

The meaning is lovely, but that's it. The way it is pronounced is gross, especially the syllable All. The way it is written takes everyone to a whole new level of gross, I would spell it Rosalbe.

Rosalba is a beautiful, unique name. I wish it was used more.
