I love it! I think it sounds very Mexican and energetic.

Whenever I hear this name, I think of Sancho Panza from Don Quixote. I really liked the character, so of course this is a positive association. It makes me think of an energetic, enthusiastic person who is always looking for a way to help out.

When I hear this name I think of a guy that is having an affair with a married woman. He's commonly referred to as the "Sancho"!

Sancho is the name of Gilbert Markham's dog in The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte.

It is also the Portuguese form of Sanctus.

Sancho is used in Portuguese too. It's unusual now but there were some Portuguese kings named Sancho. [noted -ed]

Sorry - I know Sancho is a figure in classic literature. But when I hear Sancho, all I can think of is the song "Santeria" by Sublime.
